ORLANDO SEALE studied acting at The Conservatoire in Paris, spent three years touring Europe and North America with the Royal Shakespeare Company and was chosen by Kenneth Branagh to be his acting understudy in the feature film Hamlet. He had a starring role as Orpheus in the West End production of Eurydice in London. He also played Silvio in The Servant To Two Masters for the RSC at their flagship theatre in Straford-Upon-Avon as well as their avant garde Young Vic theatre in London.
Orlando also recently shot the feature Mini’s First Time with Alec Baldwin, Jeff Goldbloom and Carrie-Anne-Moss, did a special performance of La Strada with Billy Zane and Elena Anaya for the Guggenheim last summer and did a month long series of starring performances at the Edinburgh Festival’s top venue. Orlando is also accomplished in Commedia Del’Arte, Improvisation and Clown, having studied at the Ecole Philipe Gaullier in London, has his own improvisation troupe which toured throughout Briton, and he also worked in Brazil with Augusto Boal, creator of “the Theater of the Oppressed”.
He has a degree in English and French Literature from Oxford University and performed in a number of their Dramatic Society’s high profile productions, including playing Macbeth, Caliban in the Tempest, Amnon in Peter Shaffer’s production of Yonadaband Demetrius in the Russian Tour of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Orlando won The Cuppers Prize for best actor at Oxford and has been featured in a full page spread in GQ magazine.
In feature films, Orlando recently wrapped production on the Untitled Onion for Fox Searchlight/ New Regency. He also has the male lead in Pride and Prejudice and just completed shooting the male lead in Love Surreal opposite Shiri Appleby. Previously, Orlando starred in one of the top rated series in Britain. He currently lives in Los Angeles and London.
